BULA hosted a visit of the Ukrainian Judges
The British-Ukrainian Law Association received a delegation of the Ukrainian judges visiting London. The judiciaries from all regions of Ukraine arrived to the UK with the purpose to study the English legal system. In particular, the Ukrainian judges were interested how the judiciary system works in this country and why Ukrainian businessmen prefer to resolve their disputes in English courts.
English solicitors – members of the British-Ukrainian Law Association – held a panel discussion explaining how the English legal system works and how the process in the English court differs from that in a Ukrainian court. All panel members work on the Ukrainian cases are well familiar with the legal system in both jurisdictions. The judges actively engaged in the discussion asking a lot of questions. The meeting was a great success and facilitated the purpose of BULA to promote the rule of law in Ukraine.
